Batiste Dry Shampoo Review

There are loads of different dry shampoos out on the market but the one which always catches my eye is by Batiste.

Batiste is a brand which has been around forever and I’ve used their dry shampoo for years. I love that there’s loads of variety in their range so you can try something new but at the same be confident that it is a good quality product you are buying.

Some of the examples from the dry shampoo range are below:

Batiste Dry Shampoo

The differences between these are mostly the smell but there are also products for different hair colours. Personally, my favourite is tropical but I haven’t tried them all yet. Despite  being a brunette I don’t find it being an issue at all that the dry shampoo is white either so you don’t necessarily have to go for one in the brunette range (the Tropical one isn’t). There are also a couple in the range that have glitter in!

The best way to apply your dry shampoo is to use a little to start and add more if you need to. It is much easier to add than it is to take away.

For those of you who haven’t used dry shampoo before here are the steps I take:

1. Brush through my hair – brush it right back (no parting)

2. Lightly spray a little dry shampoo to my root area

3. Lightly massage the dry shampoo with the fingers tips so you rub it into your hair.

4. Brush out any excess.

5. Brush my hair into a parting

6. Repeat steps 2-4

I’m not a hairdresser and I’m sure there are other techniques but this is the way I have found works best for me.

When I first heard bout using dry shampoo to be honest I was a little grossed out because I’d rather just wash my hair and give it a proper clean. However, after trying it I found that it is an absolute life saver!! Think of those times when you get in really late, are really busy or feel unwell… Washing your hair feels like a real chore!! It’s great just be able to grab your dry shampoo and have lovely looking, clean hair. I have also found you get an added bonus – extra volume! So on occasions I have done a small spray of Batiste just to help add a little volume to my look.

The price of Batiste shampoo differs depending on what one you get but they are around £2.99 at Boots.

Have you tried dry shampoo?

I love dry shampoo! It's great for when you are too lazy to wash your hair (yes disgusting I know!) and it is just so easy to use 🙂 I've tried Batiste in the tropical scent, Cedel dry shampoo and Klorane, which I like the most!

Let me know how you get on! Maybe try building up the dry hair spray rather than putting loads on at once if you haven't tried that before 🙂

Hey, you have a lovely blog, I'm a new follower 🙂
About the dry shampoo – yes, I use one, it's from Garnier and it's the first dry shampoo I've ever used. But actually I think it's amazing. I have such a long hair (maybe not as long as i want it to be but anyway) and I need something which work quite fast because I don't want to spend so much time in the bathroom 😀 So yeah, I love dry shampoo ^^
    Have a nice day
