:: Sparkly Nails ::
There are loads of great sparkly nail varnishes on the market the moment and originally I wanted to review a few sparkly polishes in each post but unfortunately, I haven’t had time to take pictures of them all yet as I tend to have my polish on for a week at a time. So instead, i’m going to a review on one polish combination today and then in the new year do more for you.
The nail polish combination I have chose is one from the Maybelline MNY range and Barry M sparkly range.
Let’s start with the Maybelline one. This polish is a gorgeous purple colour with pink undertones and is from the MNY range (there’s no name on the bottle for the colour). It is priced at £2.99 at Superdrug but it doesn’t look like this range is available on the website (that I could see anyway). After applying base coat I added two coats of this polish. When applying the first coat it looks like it is pretty uneven but by the time you have added the second the finish is perfect. I wore my nails with just this varnish and was extremely impressed with the quality. These are the cheapest Maybelline varnishes available so I wasn’t expecting them to be as good as they are but I would definitely recommend you try them. After a full week of wearing this varnish (with base and top coat) I had no chips. I will definitely buy more of these polishes.
On top of the MNY polish I added the Barry M no. 349 Rose Quartz Glitter. This polish looks so beautiful in the bottle. It has a pink/silver/gold/multi coloured sparkle tones and it is really pretty. This polish also has different sized glitter so you get tiny multicoloured specs and well as bigger pink/silver circles. The base of this polish is clear so I tend to use it as a top coat rather than layering it up for purely sparkly nails but the choice is yours. This polish is available at Superdrug for £2.99.
The combination of these two polishes with base and top coat works perfectly and leaves your nails chip proof for several days which means you can spend less time touching up your nails and more time finishing off that Christmas shopping! Your nails are also left super, super sparkly!
I love sparkly nails and for me they are a must have for the festive season. Friends, family, and random people who have seen my nails when I have been out and about have commented on this look.. it seems to be a popular one!
What do you think of this combination?
