I mentioned this product in my January favourites and you left quite a few comments about it so here’s my review on Soap and Glory’s No Clogs Allowed.
Recently I remembered that years ago I used to use an exfoliator on my face which heated up. I had no idea what brand it was by or even if it is still available (I didn’t see it for a while hence why I stopped buying it). Anyway, I was keen to try and get my hands on another because I really liked the affects so a couple of months ago I got searching and came across Soap and Glory’s No Clogs Allowed. I’m really loving S&P products at the moment so I couldn’t resist giving it a go!
This product is a super self heating, deep cleaning face mask featuring 1 minute hot poreclear technology. You are advised to shake the tube before use and use the product once or twice a week. It suggests only a grape size amount is enough but personally I found I needed to use more than this as I just didn’t get good coverage over my face. To apply this mask I wet my face and gently rub the product on, focusing on problem areas such as my nose and chin. You can either rinse it off straight away or leave it on for a little longer for a deeper clean.
This facemask is really easy to use and you instantly feel it gently warming on your face. The sensation doesn’t last long but I really like it. The formulation is thick and white with little blue beads dotted in it. As for the smell, it’s hard to describe. It hasn’t got a specific fragrance like other S&P products but it’s a pleasant smell and isn’t particularly strong.
On the packaging it says ‘scrub until you’re blue in the face – literally’, so I was expecting the product would change blue on my face… but it didn’t. To be honest, I’m not bothered either way and maybe this isn’t what they meant at all but just in case..I would warn people not to keep scrubbing away trying to make it turn blue as it can make your face a little sore if you overdo it!
On a downsize, the packaging does describe this as a facemask. I wouldn’t agree with this as it is unlike any other facemask I have ever used. For me.. it is more of a face scrub/exfoliator.
I’ve been really impressed with this product and will definitely repurchase it. I use it twice a week and team it with my Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean face wash which is great (I’ll do a review on this soon). My skin is left silky smooth and I have definitely seen a difference in my pores. They have reduced in size and my blackheads have disappeared.
You can get this face mask from Boots for £11.00.
