Today I will be posting a review on L’Oreal Paris the powder True Match. This is a super blendable, finely milled product which claims to match skin, colour and texture. It comes in a small, perfectly sized compact which has a thin sponge (I never use this to apply my powder) and also a mirror that opens up on the other side (see picture at the bottom of this post).
I can’t remember when I first started using this powder as it was so long ago but to give you some idea I must easily be on my third or fourth by now. What I really love about this product is that it doesn’t give you the cakey, powdery, orange look. It blends in naturally with your skin. It is also brilliant at absorbing oil. I have combination skin and the only area I really suffer from with oil is my nose. This powder definitely helps, but I do need to re-apply it a few times throughout the day. For me that is something that I have to do with high end powders too, though.
I have noticed that the performance of this powder really does depend on the state of my skin. If I do have any dry patches then without doubt it will cling.. although from personal experience I have found this is the case for any powders. If you make sure you exfoliate and moisturise your face regularly, this shouldn’t be a problem for you.
People have often commented on how natural my skin looks after using this and that you can’t tell I have any powder on. This product isn’t cakey and it buffs really nicely into your skin.
Overall, I really like this powder and it is a product I will continue to buy. The results are impressive and it’s great value for money – it lasts me around 7 months and I use it several times a day. This is my favourite drugstore powder.
You can get this from Boots for £8.19.
