Moroccan Hair Oil Treatment Review

Moroccan Hair Oil Treatment

Hello Everyone!

Today’s review is on a well known product that I love – the ‘original’ Moroccan oil.

The packaging of this product is your standard brown tinted bottle with signature aqua marine labelling.  You can either pour the product into your hand or use the pump which comes with the product.  The pump is by far the safest option as it allows you to control how much product you are getting and is not wasteful. For short-medium, fine hair I would recommend one pump and possibly two for thick, long hair.  I wouldn’t use any more than this because you may end up with greasy looking hair… it is an oil after all.

Moroccan Hair Oil Treatment

I have been using this oil for quite some time and I have nothing but good things to say about it.  The smell is absolutely amazing! It is sweet, slightly floral and perfumed and I love that it lingers on my hair throughout the day.  It smells unlike any other hair oils I have tried.

Moroccan Oil can be used for conditioning, styling and finishing your hair as well as speeding up drying time and adding shine. It is also great to smooth down any frizz/flyaways, nourish damaged hair or help protect it against heat.  The ingredients include Argan oil, omega-3 oils, antioxidants and vitamins.

To apply this product I use one pump as I have long but fine hair.  I find this is plenty and it is always better to start with a little so you can add more if you need too.  After all, it is easy to add but impossible to take away! I also never apply any of this product to my roots as I don’t want to encourage any greasy hair, in fact the majority goes right on the tips of my hair as these can get a little dry sometimes.

The formula is a light oil which applies beautifully to your towel dried hair as it is easy to evenly distribute it with your fingers. Since the first application this product has definitely left my hair feeling silky smooth and shiny plus with time it looks much healthier.  I also agree with the claim that it speeds up the drying time of your hair and considering the length of mine I am extremely grateful!

I also love that this brand does not test on animals and is environmentally friendly.

Moroccan Oil is available in two different sizes – either 25ml (£12.85) or 100ml (£30.45) and you can buy it online at Feel Unique.  Although it is an expensive product and falls into the luxurious beauty product bracket I think it is worth it and as you use such a small amount of product on each application it will last a very long time.

Other products in this range are also available including shampoo, conditioner and hair masks.  The latter I would love to try!

What is your opinion on Moroccan oil?

I loved your review!! I have been curious about this, but always scared to give up so much money (not to mention shipping charges to Portugal) without knowing if it was worth the hype. I think you wrote very well and explained everything in a very approachable and easy to understand kind of way =D

    Have a good Sunday!
