I recently replied to a tweet by a company called Henryka and since have been contacted by them about joining an amazing competition they are hosting. I don’t often enter competitions (I should do more really) but after looking on the Henryka website and the prize being and amazing £100 gift card this was a must. The requirement is a blog post on my favourite piece from the website but I don’t see this post as just a competition entry. It is also my opportunity to share this gorgeous jewellery with you.
Before I tell you about my favourite piece I want to tell you a little about the Henryka company. Henryka is an online retailer for specialist handmade silver and amber jewellery so no two pieces are exactly the same. It was formed in 2006 and they offer a huge range of silver and amber jewellery ranging from brooches, to rings, to necklaces (and much more). Since I was a child I have always been fascinated with amber because of the way it forms (fossilised tree resin) and how pretty it is so I love the idea of wearing it was jewellery and showing it off.
After spending far too long on the Henryka website I have finally chosen my favourite piece…
The Amber and Amber Heart Bangle
I chose this bangle as my favourite piece as it is unusual, stylish, feminine and delicate. I like that this piece is a twist on the traditional bangle without being too ‘out there’ and the beautiful orbs of amber sitting inside the love heart are gorgeous. This is a piece that can be worn both during the day as well as the evening and will go with a large variety of clothes and make-up looks due to the neutral colours. See it here.
Other pieces I like:
I have tried but I can’t just stop at the one piece… there are so many gorgeous items on offer I wanted to share some more with you.
Multi Amber and 6 part Bracelet
This bracelet is so delicate and pretty I had to include it. I have small hands and wrists so chunky jewellery doesn’t suit me at all. The twists of silver are beautiful and the multi-coloured amber breaks it up nicely. See it here.
Multi Coloured Amber and Silver Curved Link Necklace
This pretty necklace has a lot going on because of the intricate details but it doesn’t look heavy or overpowering. Again, it is unusual because of the multiple lines of silver running through the amber at beautifully curved angles. See it here.
Multi Amber and Silver Hollow Leaf Frame Necklace
This necklace reminds me of the Autumn because of the neutral colours and delicate leaves. I love the shape and think it would be very flattering for a lot of different neck lines. See it here.
Amber and Silver Teardrop Stud Earring
These cute tear drop amber and silver stud earrings are gorgeous. They are petite and delicate so will suit a lot of people. I tend to wear studs more often than drop earrings too as they are more convenient for work/commuting etc so these jumped out at me. See it here
All of the items at Henryka are unique, good quality pieces which are available at a mixture of prices so there is something for everyone. I believe the jewellery is great value for money and special as each item is handmade and unique Baltic amber is used. You can be tempted by more pieces at the Henryka website here.
What do you think of the amber and amber heart bangle I chose? What is your favourite piece?
