The Skincare Tag

The skin care tag

It’s been a while since a did a tag and admittedly I have been nominated for a few over the past couple of months and have been rubbish at getting organised to do them. I finally got round to doing the first one today.  The Skin Tag which I was nominated to do by Beauty Queen UK.  Here goes…

THE TAG

Describe your skin care routine in 5 words

Cleanse, Tone, Exfoliate, Moisturise, Treatment (occasionally)

What’s your skin type?

My skin type is combination.  My T-Zone can get oily (usually in the summer) and everywhere else is normal.

What’s your favourite skin care product?

This is really difficult because there are so many variations of each product so instead of picking one overall favourite I will pick one for each part of my skin routine I mentioned earlier.

Cleanse (REN Cleansing Balm)

Tone (REN Clarifying Toning Lotion)

Exfoliate (Soap and Glory No Clogs Allowed)

Moisturise (Clinique  Superdefense)

Treatment (REN Glycolactic Face Mask or Alpha H Liquid Gold)

Top blemish zapper

Thankfully I have never suffered badly with spots (touch wood) but if the odd one decides to make an appearance and I feel like it needs a helping hand to go I will dab a little Tea Tree Oil on it.

Face wipes yay or nay?

Yay.  I often use face wipes to refresh my face, tidy up any makeup mistakes or in the initial stage of removing my makeup.

High-end skin care or high-end make-up?

Wow this is difficult! In an ideal world I would want a healthy mix of both but if I really had to choose then I would say high-end skin care.

What’s the most unusual skin care product you’ve tried?

I haven’t tried any unusual skin care products.  I have pretty sensitive skin so I tend to stick to things I have used before or things which are very well known.

You’re in a French pharmacy and can only pick up one item – what is it?

Bioderma!

Tell us your top skin care tip

It is very tempting to try lots of different products but it really isn’t good for your skin.  Instead, you should slowly introduce new products into your routine and give your skin a chance to get used to them.  By this I mean at least a few months.  This way, you will be less likely to have a bad reaction to them resulting in blemishes and break outs.

I TAG EVERYONE!

I absolutely agree with sticking to a skincare for months. I have noticed that longer I use a regiment, the better it is on my skin. But I am so bad at it, I just cant wait to try new things lol.
