Primer is definitely a make-up essential for me as I use it every day regardless of how long I am going to wear my make-up for. Not only does it help keep your make-up in place for longer but it also acts as a base so your foundation has a perfect, even canvas. Benefit POREfessional does more than this though as it is also designed to minimise the appearance of pores.
Benefit is one of my favourites brands because no matter what the product, the quality is brilliant and I am yet to be disappointed by anything I have tried. Before purchasing POREfessional I had heard numerous good reviews so I had high expectations for this too but how would it work with my combination skin and foundation?
The formulation of POREfessional is an oil free light beige cream which turns transparent once applied to the skin so it is suitable for all skin tones. I find it provides the perfect base for my foundation because it evens out my skin tone and leaves my skin with a silky soft, matte finish. The primer absorbs quickly into my skin too and has a subtle floral scent which soon disappears on application.
Unlike other primers, there are actually two ways to use POREfessional. You can either apply it after your moisturiser and before your foundation which is what I usually do or over the top of your make-up during the day for any touch ups. I don’t often do the latter but it’s great you have the option and anything that helps keep a flawless make-up look for as long as possible has got to be a winner.
I really love this multi-purpose primer from Benefit and it is definitely one I would re-purchase. Ithelps keep my make-up stay in place for longer and I really love that you can use in under or over your make-up. If you want to buy POREfessional it is available at Debenhams for £24.50.

I thought I'd love this but after trying out a little sample I found it really wasn't for me. It made my pores look worse.. like by the evening my foundation had sort of sunk (for lack of a better word) into my pores. Not a fan. xx

This is my favorite primer! It is the only thing that fills in my pores.

I recently grabbed Too Faced's primer and I like that a lot (though it's not tinted), but I've considered this brand too. Do you find that it does minimize the size of pores?
I love Porefessional, it's such a life saver for me. It was the first primer I ever loved, and one of few that I'll actually repurchase every single time xx

I've tried this in the past and it really is great! My current favourite is Laura Mercier's Oil-Free primer but I'd definitely give Porefessional another try 🙂

This product was definantly a youtibe made me buy it kind of thing. I expected it to do so much. But it failed me. I put it on my problem pore areas (my nose and around my nose) and I have tried patting/pushing it into my skin, rubbing it in… and all it did was make my pores seem larger. I only got the sample size (which was still a horrible $10) but itsnot fo rme so I will not repurchase
Oooh wow that photo looks actually incredible!!!! Didn't think it'd work quite that well – amazing 🙂
