I’m a big fan of Lush and I often use their hair and body products. I am particularly partial to the odd bath bomb, especially if it is honey scented but I have never really taken much notice of their make-up. However, when shopping in there earlier this year I took the time to have a look and a product that caught my eye shimmering in the tin was the Latte Lip Tint.
This lip tint is an unusual colour being a metallic bronze with a hint of peach, pink and shimmer and if I’m honest I’m not even sure what made me purchase it. It’s not a colour I would ever usually go for and I guess on impulse I just decided to get it. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a mistake.
Like all Lush products, this lip product is vegan and packed full of natural ingredients which you would expect to be very hydrating and nourishing for your lips. These include almond oil, japan wax, and organic jojoba oil. These ingredients make the texture of this balm light, soft and creamy to the touch, however, when applied to the lips it feels very drying and on the couple of occasions I have tried to wear it I have ended up wiping it off because it didn’t feel comfortable. The tint also seems to accentuate the fine lines in your lips which doesn’t look particularly flattering but when paired with a lip gloss this problem can be resolved. If you have dry lips this is definitely a product to avoid.
The other ingredients include icing sugar, coffee, and vanilla which come through strongly when you smell the product. Unfortunately, although that combination may sound nice there is something about it I’m not keen on and that alone stops me wanting to use this lip tint.
Lush Latte is a multiple purpose product so can be used to give your eyes a wash of metallic bronze or your cheeks a peachy glow. I haven’t tried this product in either of these ways yet, but I would be interested to find out how it looks, maybe not the latter but as a cream eye shadow maybe.
Unfortunately, as much as I love Lush this product was not a winner for me and I won’t be using it again. The texture, smell and colour didn’t appeal to me and it is far too drying on the lips. If anyone does want to give Lush Latte a try or the other lip tints available you can purchase them at Lush for £5.79 or alternatively I will sell my one (cheaply!).

I don't think this shade will suit many people, I'd much rather get the red tint or repurchase one of the lipbalms- honey trap and whipstick are both lovely 🙂
love the post !!! following your blog here .. love if you follow mine 🙂

I think this product looks like it would definitely work better for the eyes then the lips!

Sounds like it should have been a cream eyeshadow initially, not a lip tint 🙂 x

Think it would work a lot better for the eyes! Looks a pretty colour, just a shame multi-purpose isn't really multi-purpose on this one! Great review, I love lush so much that I may have been tempted if I'd seen this in store so you've saved me a few pennies! L xo

Sorry this product was a bit of a fail- I love Lush too but this one does sound a bit off. Pretty colour, though! xo
