I’ve dabbled in a little bit of make-up from The Body Shop from time to time and have always tried out things for the body and skin ranges but until recently I had never ventured into the world of brushes.
The selection of brushes available at The Body shop isn’t vast so if you are looking for a complete kit then unfortunately you won’t find it but if you want to add more to your collection or just try out a few they are perfect. I actually already own an array of make-up brushes but I was looking to add some additional ones to apply eye make-up because I find it is easier to have several of the same brush when it comes to cleaning. I try to clean my brushes around once a week but this can sometimes be challenging because if I’m honest it’s the last thing I want to do when I get in from work and at the weekends the time just never seems just right. As The Body Shop had 40% it seemed like the perfect place to find some brushes to add to my collection.
The ones I chose are below:
Slanted Brush
I really needed to add a slanted brush to my collection because previously I had just been using an eye liner type brush to fill in my brows. Not ideal, but it did the job at the time and it just goes to show you can think outside of the box with your brushes and not necessary use them for what they are intended. The slanted brush fills in my brows perfectly when used with powder and leaves a precise and natural finish. I use this brush daily. £9.00
Eyeshadow Brush
This is a simple flat brush which is perfect for packing colour onto your lids. It collects a lot of product and the great for sweeping all over your lid. Personally, I would like it to be a little wider but that is being very picky. I regularly use this brush and it works well. £9.00
Eyeshadow Blender Brush
The eyeshadow blender brush is very soft to the touch and is great for either applying eyeshadow softly to the lid or blending colour into the outta corner and crease. I use this brush regularly and find it applies make-up well and I’m impressed with it but I do find it to be a little flat, £10.00
The Body Shop brushes are affordable, good quality and completely animal friendly as they are made from man made fibres. I really like. If you want them I would definitely look out for a voucher code because it really makes the purchase worthwhile.
What do you think of these brushes? What brand of brushes are your favourite?

I've had a body shop face brush for years now and it's still going strong, it's so soft and none of the hairs fall out. I just wish they had a bigger range of brushes! xx

Blending brushes are always the ones im seeking out. I use the MAC 217 but its pricey and like you I like to have a few as cleaning brushes is so dreaded! I might look into this one as it does look like a good inbetween cleans brush! Thanks for sharing x

I have the Blusher brush from the Body Shop…it feels so soft, I love it!! It's also practical that the bottom of the handle is flat so I can make it stand! 🙂
