Bee Good is a brand that I discovered last year and have always enjoyed using as it works well with my sensitive combination skin. Bee Good is an animal friendly brand that is based in Hampshire, UK and was established in 2008 at a kitchen table by husband and wife Simon and Caroline. The company’s aim is to grow whilst still staying true to their roots by combining precious ingredients from British bee-hives with the finest botanicals which together make products that work beautifully on the skin. They are also free of chemical nasties such as parabens, mineral oil, sillicone, synthetic colour and SLS/SLES.
Honey is good for the skin because as well as being moisturising it is naturally antibacterial and is full of antioxidants that are said to contribute to slowing down aging of the skin. Beeswax is also good for the skin as it is rich in vitamin A which can support cell rejuvenation and re-hydration. Lastly, propolis which is a resin collected by honeybees from tree sap and botanicals are good for the skin because they too have antibacterial and antitoxidant properties as well as being rich in vitamins B,C and E which are said to be a natural skin healer.
The botanicals used in the Bee Good products are Borage Oil, Camelina Oil, Rapeseed Oil, Echium Oil and Crambe Oil which help soothe and soften the skin as well as help reduce skin inflammation, acne, eczema, protect against dehydration and protect and nourish the skin.
I’ve tried a few of the Bee Good products in the past but the latest is the *Honey and Wild Water 3-in-1 Cleansing Water which is often compared to Micella Waters like Bioderma and Claudalie. I’m a big fan of those so I was excited to try this alternative.
When I first used this product I found it very refreshing and cooling on my skin. It also didn’t cause any irritation which is obviously a bonus. It works well to remove makeup including waterproof mascara as well as cleanse and tone the skin without the need of any added water. This means it would be really useful to take with you travelling if you don’t want to take a lot of different products with you as this like the name suggests does all three steps in your skin care regime (makeup removal, cleansing and toning) with just one product.
I was surprised by the scent of this product. I was expecting something sweet from the honey and for a strong mint fragrance but instead it doesn’t smell of very much at all which may actually appeal to people more as I know many do not like using fragranced products on their face.
To apply this product I simple add a little to a cotton pad and gently sweep it over my face and eyes to remove my makeup. Be careful not to rub your eye area too much because it can cause irritation for sensitive eyes, instead hold the product in place for a while before gently sweeping it. It takes a few cotton pads to remove everything but afterwards my skin feels fresh and clean without the tight dryness some products can give. After using this I moisturise as normal.
If you want to give the Bee Good cleanser a try it is available on their website for £10.00 per 100ml.

I've heard great things about this brand – although I do prefer unscented skincare x

I'm sort of glad that it doesn't have a scent – that's something that was actually putting me off trying it as I didnt think Honey and Mint would smell so good together x
