It’s no secret I’m a big fan of candles so when my Fiance got me one from The White Company as a surprise you can imagine how happy that made me. The scents I tend to like are fresh, strong and floral however I also like sweet aroma’s if they aren’t too strong as well as fruity.
One of my all time favouite candles is Pomegranate Noir by Jo Malone which I got for Christmas from my parents a couple of years ago (read my review here) and it’s the kind of fragrance I can keep smelling over and over before even burning the candle. The candle my Fiance is also Pomegranate so I was really interested to see how they compared as there is quite a price difference between them.
The scent is this candle is suitable all year round and is extremely close to the Jo Malone one. It is rich, floral and slightly sweet which actually reminds me of the kind of scent you would expect from a perfume. It’s just dreamy. The notes of aromatic pomegranate and bright mandarin combined with soothing patchouli and amber create a pretty and luxurious scent which is soft, smooth and calming. It’s just perfect for cosy night in when you want to relax.
The packaging of this Pomegranate candle, like all in The White Company collection is luxurious. The simple, sleek design makes this candle great to display and it’s perfect as a gift too as it is displayed in a pretty box.
The Pomegranate Signature Candle is available for £20 at The White Company. It’s worth every penny and is definitely better value than the Jo Malone version, if if that is gorgeous.
